Après avoir adoré Les sirènes de Malibu, je suis contente de retrouver la plume de Taylor Jenkins Reid. Carrie Soto est un personnage qu’on croise dans Les sirènes de Malibu, et j’étais curieuse de découvrir son histoire.

Avant d’ouvrir ce roman, ma seule crainte était les longues descriptions des matchs de Tennis. Autant le dire tout de suite, c’est un sport que je ne connais pas. Je ne connais pas les règles, je ne regarde jamais les matchs à la télé, bref je craignais de m’ennuyer. Cela n’a jamais été le cas. L’auteure maintient le suspense du début à la fin.

Carrie est un personnage difficile à apprivoiser : elle est fière, prétentieuse, arrogante, bref il n’est pas facile de s’attacher a elle. Je suis tombée sous le charme de Bowe et de sa patience légendaire. J’ai beaucoup apprécié Javier qui est tellement attachant.

J’ai trouvé la fin du roman surprenante, tout d’abord ce qui arrive à Javier et puis l’issue du dernier match de Carrie.

Encore une fois, j’ai été conquise par ce roman qui laisse entrevoir quelques personnages du roman Daisy Jones & the Six que j’ai maintenant très envie de découvrir.
