Ann Tran is already at a crossroads when she gets the call that her beloved grandmother, Minh, has died. Ann has built a seemingly perfect life. Mon avis :
Déçue par ce roman.

Tout d’abord, quand je lis un livre, j’aime avoir un personnage principal fort. Ici Ann est trop indécise : elle ne sait pas si elle doit ou non quitter son partenaire, garder son bébé ou pas, rester en Floride ou pas, raconter des secrets à sa mère ou pas… À cause de ça, je n’ai pas réussi à l’aimer et à m’attacher à elle, et bien sûr, sa relation avec sa mère ne m'a pas touché.

Mais ce qui m’a le plus déplu c’est pourquoi, lorsqu'un écrivain écrit un livre sur les femmes, elle ressent le besoin d'y mettre des hommes terribles ? Pourquoi cette opposition ?

Finalement, il y a trop de lacunes, trop de questions sans réponse, la principale est comment sont-elles arrivées dans cette maison de Floride ? Je pense que l'histoire de cette maison aurait pu être intéressante.
